This policy explains what Our Faith (ourfaith.app) collects and how it is used.
What we collect
- Account details: your username, email address, password (stored encrypted) and anything you add to your profile.
- What you post: activity posts, messages, prayer requests, replies, church, event and group listings.
- Submission details: when you submit a listing we store your name and email privately for moderation. We keep a one-way scrambled version of your IP address to prevent spam.
- Technical data: our server and our security provider Cloudflare process IP addresses and browser information to keep the site secure and working.
How we use it
- To run your account and the community features.
- To moderate content and keep the community safe.
- To send account emails, such as confirming your email address. We do not sell your data.
What others can see
Your profile, public posts and listings are visible to other people. Prayer requests can be posted anonymously. Private messages are only visible to the people in the conversation, and to administrators when needed to investigate a report.
Third-party services
- Maps load from OpenStreetMap and place search uses Nominatim (OpenStreetMap Foundation).
- Videos load from YouTube (privacy-enhanced mode) only when you press play.
- Near me uses your device location only in your browser, and only when you allow it. It is not stored.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember small choices, such as prayers you have already counted.
Your choices
You can edit or delete your posts and profile, and you can ask us to delete your account through the contact form. Depending on where you live, you may have extra rights to access, correct or delete your data.
