He Carried It (Ballad Cinematic)

[Verse 1] The dawn was cold on the stone My heart was wrapped in night You knew my name by heart And chose the road of light The weight was more than mine The shame was rough and real But You stood in my place With mercy I could feel [Pre-Chorus] And I was far, so far Still You came near Every wound, every tear You held it here [Chorus] He carried it all for me He carried it all for me The cross was my reply The grave could not keep He carried it all for me He carried it all for me You gave me back my song When You rose up for me [Verse 2] Now morning fills the room Where sorrow used to stay The nails did not defeat You They only made a way My hands were empty then My soul was worn and thin Now every breath I take Is proof Your love came in [Pre-Chorus] And I was weak, so weak Still You were strong All my fear, all my loss Was where You belonged [Chorus] He carried it all for me He carried it all for me The cross was my reply The grave could not keep He carried it all for me He carried it all for me You gave me back my song When You rose up for me [Bridge] You wore my thorns You broke my chains You took my place And named me grace You wore my thorns You broke my chains Now I will live To sing Your name [Chorus] He carried it all for me He carried it all for me The cross was my reply The grave could not keep He carried it all for me He carried it all for me You gave me back my song When You rose up for me
